India under-19 captain Ishan Kishan has been arrested for reckless driving. His arrest came days ahead of the World Cup.
The young cricketer reportedly rammed his speeding car into an auto-rickshaw and injured the people inside the three-wheeler. Passers-by also complained that the 17-year-old got into a brawl with them at the accident site.Ishan was beaten up until some onlookers decided to call the police .The car belonged to his father. The police have arrested Kishan and others involved in the brawl.
This incident comes as a big blow to the Indian U-19 team's World Cup plans. The tournament will kick off in Bangladesh on January 27.Kishan plays for Jharkhand after the Cricket Association of Bihar lost its affiliation with the BCCI. He put in some excellent performances at domestic and junior level over the course of last year.
