AP Temporary Capital in 26 Acres..!!

Municipal Minister P Narayana made it clear AP's Temporary Capital structures will come up at Velagapudi village near Vijayawada. The new buildings to be constructed would be spread across 26 acres in the permanent capital area.

AP Government informs soil tests have proven that lands in the village were suitable for construction of temporary capital. Very soon, Tenders will be called for the construction work of Temporary capital.

Even though Hyderabad will stay as common capital for 10 Years, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu realized that its not going to be easy to carry out administration from here. From June this year, All the AP Employees will be functioning from new capital Amaravati itself. State Government is keen to complete the construction of Secretariat & Housing for Employees by then.
