Congress Party's decision to divide Andhra Pradesh had turned public sentiment against it in Seemandhra region. The party couldn't even win at least one seat both in the Lok Sabha and state assembly in 2014 polls, the worst performance by Congress in the state. On the flip side, the party failed utterly in Telangana too, even though their decision of state bifurcation was in favor of Telanganites.
Andhra Pradesh is key zone for Congress. Result of the last elections was because of their negligence over the state. Now, Congress is making all possible ways to strengthen the party in Andhra Pradesh. As part of this, they are thinking to allot as many as posts for Andhra Pradesh in CWC and AICC, so with this they want to send strong message that, they are giving utmost priority to the state.
Buzz is that, Congress is willing to take Megastar Chiranjeevi and KVP Ramachandra Rao into CWC (Congress Working Committee). Many of the Congress big players had migrated to ruling and other parties after the party lost in the last elections. Chiranjeevi has been with the party in tough times and more over he seems to be the most charismatic person in the party at present.
Key posts in Andhra Pradesh were given to Chiranjeevi close aides in recent times and with this the Congress biggies stated that, the megastar is going to be the face of the party from the state. They even have plans to campaign with Chiranjeevi in GHMC elections to attract settlers in Hyderabad zone.
However, we need to wait for official confirmation of Chiranjeevi and KVP's inclusion in CWC
