Mani Ratnam is no way going to shelve his multi-starrer project inspite of repetitive setbacks. After Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna backed off, He roped Karthi and Dulquer Salmaan but even that too didn't work out. Just when the shoot was about to start, Dulquer walked out citing date issues and then he was replaced by Nani. By that time, Karthi's dates got wasted and the project was kept on hold.
Still, Mani Ratnam is trying his best to bring his vision on screen. He now approaches Naga Chaitanya and Rana Daggubati for the multi-starrer. Nithya Menon & Keerthy Suresh who were signed to romance Karthi-Dulquer will be retained for this project. If everything fall in place, The project might go on floors in Summer this year.
Mani Ratnam's next is a revenge drama with a bit of love, romance and action in equal proportions. AR Rahman composes Music. It will be mostly a Telugu-Tamil bilingual.
