Good news for the Sankranthi releases as there won't be any notable new releases in this week.
Telugu dubbed version of Tamil actor Vishal’s Kathakali was supposed to be released on this Friday. But the film will not release on 22nd January as it is yet to complete the censor formalities.
Even the other Telugu releases like Kalyana Vaibhogame too were pushed to some other date leaving free ground for Sankranthi movies for another week.
This is great news for Nannaku Prematho as it can go close to the breakeven mark. All other Sankranthi films will have a decent number of screens in second week to cash upon.
Soggade Chinni Nayana and Express Raja will get a bigger range with no competition in this week. Also Dictator will get a chance to increase its stack as Kathakali would have attracted the masses.
Vishal’s Kathakali has been receiving very good reviews from Tamil critics. Director Pandiraj is being lauded for making a taut thriller. We should wait for few more days to experience the thrilling Kathakali.
