Balakrishna has announced that his 100th film will be a sequel to 'Aditya 369' and the sequel will also be directed by veteran director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao.
This has left his fans a bit disappointed as they were expecting a mass entertainer along the lines of a ‘Simha’ or a ‘Legend’ to be his 100th film.
Naturally, since mass fans comprise the majority of Balayya fans. But it may also be recalled that Aditya 369 was a bold film at that time and Balayya’s portrayal of Srikrishna Deva Raya in it was one of the finest performances in Tollywood cinema.
Besides, Balayya is one person who frequently worked with respected directors like Bapu and Singeetham irrespective of market considerations.
It has been decades since movies like Aditya 369 and Bhairava Dweepam released. Yet, no director has been able to give him suck kinds of scripts nowadays.
If he wants his 100th film to be special, then it has to be entirely different. That is the only way he can make a mark.
