The Rohit Shetty directorial, Dilwale is running strong in theatres all over the globe as it has minted a gross collection of Rs 335cr worldwide, said the producers of the film.
Bollywood superstars, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's action, romantic comedy film made Rs 142cr alone in India so far even after three weeks of its release the Red Chillies Entertainments said in a statement. The movie has made at least $8 million in the Gulf which made it the second highest Bollywood film. The film minted over $4 million in the States and 2 million pounds in the Britain.
The film also scored well in the international territories like Kuwait, Malaysia and Indonesia despite its poor performance in India. "Dilwale has been received very well across the globe, the film has created new benchmarks in key international markets. We are happy to share Dilwale is second biggest grosser of 2015 in international markets, over all it's the third highest grosser of 2015," Gaurav Verma, Chief Revenue officer of Red Chillies Entertainments.
Dilwale marked the return of the famous onscreen couple-SRK and Kajol after five years, released with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani.
